Wild Foods in Your Kitchen With Butter Petty

Wild Foods in Your Kitchen With Butter Petty

This hands-on workshop will help participants take the leap from being aspirational foragers to cooks who are comfortable preparing wild foods in their own homes. We will be demonstrating how to compare foraged foods to their conventional grocery-store counterparts, and how to substitute them into the recipes we already use every day. This workshop will be highlighting a few abundant wild foods at the peak of their season. Participants will learn key identification features and possible lookalikes. Additionally, they will get to form important sense memories with the plants by taking part in the processing and recipe prep, followed by cooking a few dishes to taste.
