Join Cat, longtime Herbalist and Ecopsychologist, for a plant walk that invites us to look more deeply at the plants often labeled “invasive.” Together, we’ll explore their ecological roles, medicinal properties, and potential contributions to human  health while questioning the narratives that shape how we perceive and respond to them. Drawing on the Vitalist tradition of critical inquiry, we’ll consider how our cultural conditioning—including the warlike language of control, eradication, and exclusion - influence our relationships with the more-than-human world. Through observation, conversation, and curiosity, we’ll explore what becomes possible when we move beyond simplistic categories of good and bad toward a more nuanced understanding of ecological complexity, interdependence, and our responsibilities as herbalists and stewards of the living Earth.
