In this welcoming, hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the foundational principles of floral design, including balance, proportion, color harmony, texture, and movement. Together we will explore how stems relate to one another, how negative space allows a design to breathe, and how a simple vessel can transform a handful of blooms into something intentional and artful.
All flowers and materials are provided. Each participant will create and take home a small personal arrangement, thoughtfully composed during class.

Samantha Jambor Zwickey is the founder and owner of The Floral Mint, a full-service floral design shop in Boulder, Colorado. Her journey into floristry began unexpectedly after college, when a floral design course at FlowerSchool New York led her to discover a form of creativity that felt more alive and immediate than the academic path she had planned.
After working in a Brooklyn flower shop and refining her craft, Samantha returned to Colorado with a vision for something more than a traditional florist. She opened The Floral Mint in the summer of 2025 as both a design studio and an educational space, offering floral workshops, private events, and accessible wedding services. From introductory arranging classes to DIY wedding florals, her work centers on making creativity approachable and welcoming.
