This workshop offers an introduction to the ancestral herbal traditions of the Jewish people, a lineage that is often overlooked or unfamiliar even to Jewish herbalists themselves. Drawing from spiritual, folk, and land-based practices, this class explores how plants have long been woven into Jewish life through ritual, seasonal cycles, healing, and daily devotion.

Participants will learn about plant-centered blessings, traditional herbal uses, and the ways nature-based rhythms shape Jewish ceremonial and healing practices. The workshop also offers insight into Jewish ancestral materia medica and the cultural contexts in which these plants were traditionally gathered, prepared, and honored.
