Sunday 10am: Fairies of the Forest, Flowers & Fens with Sara Stewart Martinelli
Step into the hidden world of the fair folk in this imaginative and nature-inspired workshop exploring the folklore, symbolism, and magic of fairies connected to forests, wildflowers, and watery places. Together we’ll wander through stories and traditions from across cultures, learning how fairies have been associated with specific landscapes such as mossy woods, blooming meadows, and misty fens.
Through guided discussion, sensory exploration, and creative reflection, we’ll explore how different environments shape the character and qualities of these beings, and how working with place deepens our relationship to the natural world. Participants will be invited to connect with the spirit of the land through observation, storytelling, and gentle creative practices inspired by plants, water, and earth.
This workshop is open to anyone drawn to folklore, imagination, and the magic woven through the living landscape. No prior experience is needed. Come curious, playful, and ready to see the world a little differently.
